The Department of Ancient Studies promotes and participates in national research projects carried out in collaboration with Italian universities and research institutions. This includes projects coordinated or conducted by members of the Department within national research funding schemes, notably the Progetti di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale (PRIN), as well as other scientific initiatives supported by public bodies and research institutions.
These projects address key themes in the study of the ancient and medieval worlds and contribute to the development of shared research programs across Italian universities. These initiatives consolidate the Department’s participation in major national research networks and foster collaborative research activities and advanced training.
