The Department of Antiquities promotes and participates in numerous international research projects devoted to the study of civilizations and cultures from antiquity to the Middle Ages, developed in collaboration with universities, scholarly institutions, and research centers worldwide. This section presents, in particular, projects funded within European research programs (starting from Horizon 2020), alongside other scientific initiatives carried out within international collaborative networks.
These projects span the various fields of Ancient Studies, fostering the integration of expertise and disciplinary approaches as well as dialogue among scholarly traditions developed in different academic contexts. They contribute to advancing research that addresses key challenges in the international scholarly debate and constitute a primary instrument for consolidating long-term collaborations and strengthening the Department’s research trajectories within the global academic landscape.
