The Department of Antiquities has been selected by the Italian Ministry of University and Research as one of the 180 Departments of Excellence among Italian state universities for the period 2023-2027.
This prestigious recognition is accompanied by significant financial support, offering the Department the opportunity to develop and consolidate broad research activities. The resources made available make it possible to work in a structured way on the important research project The Persistence of Antiquity, which aims to systematically reorganize, analyze, and digitize the extensive and still little-known heritage of scientific collections held within the Department.
